Heart of the Monkey

The lioness once had a desire to have the heart of monkey. The king lion had no option than to please her. She said she will not eat anything except the heart of monkey.

It was very difficult for the lion to catch a monkey since most of the time they were on tree top. So lion secretly consulted fox thinking fox with his tricky brain could help him.

Fox agreed to help him but put the condition after the task is complete for rest of the month lion will proclaim him as the king of jungle. Again lion had no option but to accept his demand. After a few days fox appeared in front of lion with the heart of monkey.

Lioness was pleased to have it and thanked her master for such a delinquent delicacy. Next morning fox appeared again in front of lion and reminded him of his promise. Lion unwillingly summoned a meeting in jungle and announced that fox will be the king for the following month. Everybody was surprised at the announcement but no one dared to question king lion. The lion out of shame could not come out of den for that one month and died of hunger.
