The Pride of the Giraffe

It was a dry summer and hardly any grasses were left for the herbivores of the jungle. It was only on tall tress that little leaves were left. It was almost impossible for most of the tiny animals to have them as their food.



Giraffes being the tallest were contacted by group of tiny animals to help them in having leaves from the tall trees.

Giraffe refused to help and said with arrogance that they have so many other works to do. Each one has to help himself so it’s better if they can climb up the trees and satisfy their hunger. All animals felt bad and decided not to speak to giraffe ever.

After a few days, it down poured and jungle became green again. Soon tall grasses covered the dry land. One day while all animals, including giraffe, were basking under the sun, a group of lion attacked. Since the grasses were tall other animals managed to hide themselves. Giraffe who were at some distant from the rest were not aware of the attack. No animal cared to inform them and because of their tall height they fall easy prey of lions.
